Level-5 Plans Continued Ni no Kuni Developments
Level-5 isn't through with its Studio Ghibli tie-up RPG Ni no Kuni just yet! In an interview with 4Gamer, CEO Akihiro Hino said this past week that they have a number of possibilities for developing Ni no Kuni into a series. Such developments would include additional package game releases, he assured.
We probably won't be hearing about these developments for a while, though, as Hino said that there are many things that have yet to be finalized.
4Gamer asked if future developments would expand upon the current world or be something completely different. Hino replied that the former, expanding the current world, is the direction they'll be taking.
Ni no Kuni was originally released as a DS title last year. Simultaneous to the DS version, Level-5 was working on a PS3 version, which was released last month.
Hino explained why they chose to make two different versions of the game. The general thinking was that the DS version was made to get the game in the hands of as many people as possible. The PS3 version was made in order to deliver Studio Ghibli's animation and Joe Hisaishi's soundtrack at movie-level quality.
Si ni siquiera lo han colocado en "verano 2012", yo no lo esperaría hasta otoño como mínimo (One Piece seguramente salga también por esa época).
