Apparently the 8 characters have the skills fully explained, but it proved to be too much even for our resident leaker, so he only mentioned 2 of them: Hisahide & Kojuro.

I'm going to translate the other tidbits though, like the director's comments on the new PCs and such.
Hisahide: This is his next appearance since SB2H. His popularity is huge so we decide to bring him back here. He has an elegant personality, and that's reflected by how he's able to launch multiple attacks without breaking a sweat.

Kojuro: We made him move like an expert (swordsman). By holding a button he can attack with two swords, and if you chain it with a skill the sense of his expertise grows stronger.

Sasuke: He can unleash kagebunshins anywhere. The controls aren't hard, so anyone can use him balancedly and eventually able to use complex attacks. He has an air combo where the enemies he blown away could be further attacked by the kagebunshins.

Hideaki: By eating different foods he can do things like changing moves and recovery. Please enjoy his comical moves like when he runs over enemies with a giant dango.

Tenkai: He is gaining respect from soldiers for being benevolent, however he also has a scary face. If he sucks enemy souls, his moves may change

Yoshiaki: A comic relief character that has moves like drinking tea and carving his own ice sclupture. The skills are also useful against enemy generals.

Muneshige: The man who can handle Raikiri's tremendous power. Other than chopping away enemies, he can also use thunder to increase his attack range.

Sorin: He can summon angels that will bring captured enemies to somewhere else. The Xavi tank in previous game also appears here.

Other information:
The NPC-turned-PCs here will have totally different moves; they are being created from scratch

The 4 main heroes (you know who) are of course confirmed, for the other characters please wait for the next batch

2-player co-op is possible in almost all modes here. We also plan to introduce more new features later. These contents will be suitable for both 1P and 2P, hence 'Utage'

Hisahide's story: He lives for his own desires and will do anything to get what he wants. Since this time he has (finally) become a playable character, the developers needed to think hard on how it will flow well.

Kojuro's story: He has a serious story where he serve to back up Masamune. The timeline is around the same time as SB3's Sekigahara.

Sasuke's story: A drama where he contemplates after Yukimura had become the commander of Takeda army.


About the name change
Koba-P: At first we wanted to use the name Eiyuu Gaiden (Heroes) as well, but if they put Gaiden in that sorts of increasing the threshold so they decided to change the name.
Yama-D: While the game gets larger, if we put Gaiden on it then it'll end up looking smaller instead. Since the move version used an English subtitle, we thought to use kanji here instead. (hence Utage)
Koba-P: With Utage, that means the stories here are much lighter so characters can battle to their utmost.

Tidbits
Yama-D: We had planned a pace of one game per year, so this one is indeed a surprise.
Koba-P: The movie was very popular. I heard there was a fan who went to watch it 12 times in a week (wtfbbq)
